Our world is bigger and more distracted than ever before, and although there are laws in place to reduce our distractions on the road, accidents can still happen. Vehicles are designed with driver assistance features to help us navigate safely. Here’s how Ford Co-Pilot360 technology keeps you safe on the road.

What Is Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology?

Simply put, the Co-Pilot360 is a comprehensive collection of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) offered by Ford. The driver assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist. Automatic forward emergency braking, lane departure warning, reversing camera, and automatic high beam headlights round out the features.

What Are the Assist+ Upgrades and Enhancements?

You can further upgrade your driver assistance features by moving up to Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which is available on select models. This technology includes speed limit sign recognition, lane centering assistance, evasive steering assistance, and intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability. Ford also offers Ford Active Park Assist 2.0 that adds an automatic reverse braking function and will assist the driver in parallel parking.

Finally, Ford upgrades the Co-Pilot360 to a 2.0 version on select new models, adding road edge detection, intersection assist, and blind-spot assist. Active drive assist is the next feature to be added to the suite, allowing for hands-free driving on select roads.
