Before you know it, summer will be in full swing, so it’s time to start thinking about making plans. Be sure to mark your calendars for these July Huntington events.

Ephraim Bee Festival

Featuring live entertainment, free entertainment for children, tons of food vendors, and the Queen Bee and Teen Bee Beauty pageant, you need to attend the Ephraim Bee Festival in West Union. On July 16 and 17, one of Doddridge County’s most memorable characters, Ephraim Bee will be celebrated at this third annual bee festival.

38 Special

Coming to the Event Center at Hollywood Casino in nearby Charles Town is the legendary rock band, 38 Special. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, StubHub, and SeatGeek. You don’t want to miss out on this nostalgic trip back in time through great music like “Caught Up in You” and “Hold on Loosely.” 38 Special offers a great mix of Southern, country, and blues-style rock.

Hog Wild Pig Roast and Bike Show

If you don’t mind a little road trip, then check out the Hog Wild Pig Roast and Bike Show (formerly Blues, Bikes, and BBQ) in nearby Paw Paw. This event takes place from July 16-18 and includes a bike show where you get to judge the bikes on Saturday, with several trophies awarded, including the Best of Show. Stay for the nighttime dancing and barbecue. You’ll find How Wild at 223 Avalon Road.
