The 2022 Ford Expedition will be hitting the roads soon and with it comes updates to the exterior style as well as powertrain options. While there is still much that’s up for debate as to what to expect with the 2022 models, here’s what we know so far.
New Power Options
The 2022 Ford Expedition will have two powertrain options. The standard engine is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that produces up to 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. A hybrid powertrain will also be available that is similar to the 3.5-liter PowerBoost V-6 engine that is found in the 2021 F-150. Both engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Interior Styling
The 2022 Expedition will feature similar characteristics to the 2021 Ford F-150, including the same center stack design, digital gauge cluster, and steering wheel. Additionally, the new Expedition will have the same15.5-inch infotainment screen as found in the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning. A Wi-Fi hotspot allows you to stay connected even while on the go. Jam to your favorite tunes as they blare through the six-speaker audio system. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration allow you to access your favorite apps, such as music, podcasts, navigation, calls, and more. Plug your devices into the USB ports to keep them charged on the road. Backseat passengers will enjoy the rear seat entertainment system.
