If you’re planning a trip to Huntington soon, be sure to check out some of the fun activities and places to visit. Here are three can’t miss Huntington, West Virginia, attractions.

  1. Heritage Farm

Experience early pioneer life at the Heritage Farm through interactive folk crafts, exhibits, and watching artisans create items using the traditional methods. Heritage Farm is home to over 15 log structures, including log cabins, museums, and the Artisan Center. Check out their themed Way Back Weekends or Farm Family Fun Night, which takes place in June, July, and August.

  1. Ritter Park

Considered the Crown Jewel of the Park District, Ritter Park is a wonderful place to soak up some sun. Bring the kids and enjoy the open play space and children’s playground. Ritter Park also offers several walking, running, and hiking trails. Your four-legged friend can join you, and they’ll have more fun than you can imagine at the PetSafe Dog Park, which is part of Ritter Park. Another key part of the park is the Rose Garden, featuring over 3,000 roses.

  1. Huntington Museum of Art

Formerly known as the Huntington Galleries, the Huntington Museum of Art opened to the public in 1952. There are currently five galleries of work set up for visitors to enjoy, running anywhere from a month to nearly a year. Exhibits rotate, so there’s always something new to see at the HMoA. In addition to art exhibits, you’ll find a conservatory and hiking trails to enjoy, so you can make an entire day of your visit.

Plan your visit to Huntington today and be sure to include one of these adventures.
