When it comes to towing your trailer or hauling your cargo, the 2019 Ford F-150 is up for the challenge. With a number of high-tech features as well as a light, yet powerful design, the F-150 is perfect for towing.
- Towing Capabilities
The bed and body of the 2019 Ford F-150 are made of lightweight, yet high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy. This makes the truck lighter, which increases the payload. Additionally, the F-150 has powerful engine options that lead to top-rated towing capacities. With the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 engine cranks out 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The engine is capable of towing up to 13,200 pounds. A 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engine is also available, pumping out 250 horsepower, getting 440 pound-feet of torque, and towing up to 11,400 pounds.
- Driver Assisted Features
The 2019 Ford F-150 is designed with special new technologies that make traveling and backing up with a trailer so much easier. The available Pro Trailer Backup Assist allows you to simply turn a knob in the direction you want the trailer to go when backing up. A blind spot information system with trailer coverage alerts you when a vehicle is in the blind spot of your truck and your trailer. A factory-installed brake control system synchronizes the trailer and truck brakes so you can slow down smoothly.
The dynamic hitch assist has a line-of-site guide, which makes it easy to direct the hitch to the receiver on the trailer. All of your trailer information is available right in front of you on the 8-inch productivity screen.
